Permissions in Aeneis

In Aeneis, view and access permissions can be assigned in different ways and at different locations. Depending on the object type, the permissions are assigned differently:

Visibility permissions:

  • Display: Portal components have the Display property, which controls who in the Portal can see the component.

  • Scopes: Certain areas the enterprise model are hidden or shown for certain users. Users then see only the content that is relevant to them in their scope.

Access permissions:

  • Access Control List (ACL): You can use ACLs to control access permissions to objects in Aeneis. You can create various ACLs in the UserAdministration and assign them to the model objects, portal components, apps and all other elements via their properties.

  • Dynamic permissions: Dynamic permissions allow you to assign different access permissions in objects for different users in the Portal.

  • Standard user groups (Functional groups and license groups): Via functional groups and license groups in the UserAdministration you can control which users are allowed to access which areas and how.
